Supplementary Agreement Erc
Further specificities of the ERC Grant Agreement concern the possibility for the Principal Investigator to change his or her Host Institution (Portability of Grants), as well as the provisions concerning the commitment of the Principal Investigator to invest a specific amount of his/her working time into the project (time commitment). Furthermore, the agreement contains specific clauses in case of a premature termination of the project due to scientific reasons or unavailability of the Principal Investigator. If a proposal has been successfully evaluated and the Principal Investigator accepts the ERC Grant, the ERC prepares a Grant Agreement, which is based on the application. This Grant Agreement provides only little room for adjustments. As a general rule, the agreement is not negotiable. The agreement as a whole and its provisions are not negotiable. Only the elements that are important for the financial and contractual management, such as the reporting periods and the amount of the pre-financing, are negotiable for adjustment to the specific administrative context of each project. The Information for Applicants guide provides important assistance and guidance in preparing an application. An updated guide is published for each tender. The guide provides some of the same information as the work program. In addition, practical information is included, for example: No.
Since the 2016 tender round, literary references in Part B1 and Part B2 are no longer included within the page limit. Literary references can therefore exceed 5 pages (B1) or 15 pages (B2). The following grant signature link also contains information on digital signature: ec.europa.eu/research/participants/docs/h2020-funding-guide/grants/from-evaluation-to-grant-signature/grant-signature_en.htm all PNs must also work at least 50% of the working time in Europe or in a state associated with the framework programme. This does not apply to PSis of a synergy grant with a reception facility in a third country. Only one assessment per year is possible in all cases. If several applications are submitted for the 2020 work programme (z.B 2020 SyG, submission deadline 5.11.2019 and AdG, submission deadline 26.08.2020), the first valid application will be evaluated. In addition, only one Grant ERC per researcher can be active at the same time. The theme of the application (identical to/similar/different from the previous year) is not relevant to the issue of delivery. It is possible to apply for salary for the senior investigator (PI) position even if he/she is already in a position at the institution. The percentage at which the project is working must be taken into account.
If, for example, PI only works with 50% of its working time for the project, he/she can only finance 50% of his salary with the ERC Grant. “Additional organizations” should only be organizations that should also benefit from ERC project funding (no bulk cooperation partners). The inclusion of another agency should be of great use for the implementation of the project and should be justified (for example, the expertise provided by the team member or the use of the necessary equipment).
